You may remember Terri J. Vaughn for her role as "Lovita Alize Jenkins" on the original "Steve Harvey Show" sitcom back in the day and for her role in "Daddy's Little Girls" but she's since stepped behind the camera and has become a successful writer, producer and director.

Vaughn is in the director's chair once again for the new TVOne original film "Dear Santa, I Need A Date" premiering Sunday December 8th at 6:00 PM CST. The romantic comedy stars Ray J (Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood, Moesha), and Reagan Gomez-Preston (The Parent 'Hood, The Cleveland Show), as two ambitious, yet romantically challenged siblings, who make a bet on who will be the first to find love by Christmas.

The movie also stars Jay DeVon Johnson, Anne-Marie Johnson, singer-actor, MAJOR, Reginae Carter (Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta) and B. Simone (Wild 'N Out, Girls Cruise).

Melz On The MIC spoke with Vaughn recently about the movie and what we can expect and shares with us what she has in the future which includes more holiday movies that she's going to be directing.
