Some people's priorities are just all kinds of wrong.

Take, for example, whoever robbed Temple's Cracker Barrel restaurant early Monday morning.

Chelsea Edwards with our news partner, KWTX, reports that a man entered the restaurant at 3687 S General Bruce Dr as employees were preparing to open early this morning, drew a gun, and demanded cash. He then fled on foot. The robbery was reported around 5 AM, and the restaurant was closed for a bit before reopening around mid-morning.

Police say they're looking for an African-American man wearing grey sweatpants and a grey sweater.

Now, I don't condone robbery, but how much cash do you think you're going to get from a restaurant that hasn't even opened for the breakfast rush yet? Also, why even take cash? There's all that great candy up front, and you could demand a dozen or so orders of biscuits and gravy.

I know, I know. Stealing is wrong, and especially when it's done at gunpoint. I think seeing this story just made me hungry for a Country Morning Breakfast.

If you know anything about the crime or the suspect, you should contact the Temple Police Department at (254) 298-5500.
