Throughout the years, we've seen Temple, Texas grow. Of course, it's always nice to look back and see how things were back in the day. One video on YouTube shows what a train show from the 1950s was like, happening in the city of Temple.
What Is The History Between Temple And Trains?
The city of Temple, Texas has a storied history with trains. After all, the city began as a railroad town after all. Per the Texas State Historical Association, Temple was made a reality in 1881.
Slowly but surely afterwards, Temple started seeing growth thanks to a multitude of factors. New rail lines helped put the city on the map, and eventually new residents left their mark on the city.

So locomotives have always had a place in the city of Temple. So when they were shown off, many came to see them. Especially in the 1950's for example.

It's always so interesting to see things filmed on older technology isn't it? There's something about the quality of the film and seeing the clothing of the era. Of course though, the real star of the show is none other than the trains.
Trains have evolved since this video of course, but it's still wonderful to see those classic trains that everyone remembers and how they looked. It's a reminder of how the city of Temple got its start too!
