Childish Gambino's film project with Rihanna could be coming sooner than later, possibly next week.

On Friday (April 5), fans started noticing that ads on Spotify were promoting the Guava Island project for a release date of April 13. The date is the day after Gambino is set to headline the 2019 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. One ad even features Gambino singing over a guitar solo. At the end he comments, “I’ll see you at the show, everyone.” There is also a Rap Caviar playlist which is noted as being presented by Guava Island.

The film project was first teased last August when Gam and RiRi were spotted in Cuba together on the set. In November, more details emerged when a trailer was unveiled by the Atlanta creator during the 2018 Pharos Festival in New Zealand. The trailer appeared to show the two musicians playing the roles of a couple on a tropical island. Gambino is shown as a struggling musician who runs into trouble while trying to make it big. “We live in paradise but none of us actually have the time or the means to live here,” Gambino comments in one scene.

The upcoming project is directed by Gambino's frequent collaborator Hiro Murai ("This Is America," "3005") and will also co-star Letitia Wright and Nonso Anozie.

Check out the signs that some say prove the project is coming next weekend below.
