Beyonce Donates $6 Million Towards COVID-19 Relief

Texas born and raised megastar Beyonce is pulling her purse out to help with COVID-19 relief.

According to Variety, The Queen B's BeyGOOD Foundation is teaming up with Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey as part of his #startsmall campaign to provide funding to mental health and personal wellness services in the wake of the current pandemic.

The $6 million dollar pledge will go to several organizations already on the ground working in various cities across the country including New York, New Orleans, Detroit and Bey's home town of Houston.

Organizations include the National Alliance in Mental Illness, United Memorial Center, Bread of Life, Matthew 25 and other organizations to help provide basic necessities, including food, water, cleaning supplies, medicines and face masks, to help alleviate mental and physical burdens in struggling communities according the Variety report.
