Summer here in Texas can be extremely brutal. Fires in the summertime happen more often than usual due to the very dry heat that happens here in a great state. According to Newsweek recently, the United States Consumer Products, safety commission, also known as the CPSC released an urgent message to everyone who purchased a company's smoke detector to immediately discard the product due to it not being active in the presence of actual smoke.

There were over 6000 CHZHVAN combination, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors that were recalled on May 16 after the Consumer Product Safety Commission, received reports of the product not operating correctly. Even though there have been no injuries reported because of the smoke detectors, the product could fail to work in an emergency.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission urges everyone to get rid of this product as soon as possible. Consumer Product Safety Commission stated that the recall involves CHZHVAN brand combination, smoke, and carbon monoxide detectors with the product number JKD – 512. Some of the purchases for the defective product were from Amazon and we’re sold through a company called Hakouhudishangmaoyouxiangongsi. If you have purchased these products for the safety of your family, you asked to throw them away immediately!
