We’re all taught to make sure when driving to keep our hands 10 and 2, be conscious of our surroundings, and follow all of the directions that the Texas Public Safety Handbook, conducts, but that’s not always the case. Unfortunately, it’s a struggle to really avoid this particular road because it drives straight through Texas, I’m talking about Highway I- 45. Highway I -45 finds itself averaging 56.5 fatal accidents per hundred miles over an eight-year study conducted by the accident data center. Not to mention, the same highway that extends through Dallas stretches straight to Harris County, where the city of Houston resides. I -45 and Houston have found themselves seen up to more than 100 traffic fatalities, including 11 deaths in interstate traffic accidents in one recent year. The reality is driving alone could be scary, it’s not about how you drive it’s really about if the driver next to you is paying attention as well. If you can help it avoid driving I-45, but if not, remember to keep an eye out on your surroundings and on the road, it could save your life.
