When Texas police received a call about goods being stolen, we doubt they guessed this would be what they found. Here's the details.

Massive Amount Of One Item Stolen In Texas, Is There Any Reason?

According to FOX 44, law enforcement in Laredo was alerted to an item taken illegally. They were also told that the vehicle in question, an 18 wheeler, was alleged to be going northbound on I-35. Plate information on the vehicle was also provided.

Soon, a deputy was able to locate the 18 wheeler in question and quickly pulled the vehicle and driver over. After the truck was taken off the roadway, police checked the cargo and were quite frankly caught off-guard with what they found.

What Was The Item Police Found Inside The Truck?

Yes, you're reading and seeing that correctly. 34,000 avocados were found inside the vehicle. Which does beg the question...why somebody would try to steal that large of an amount? Thankfully though, none of the avocados were harmed.

Police also were able to release the driver, and take the avocados to location that was considered secure. From there, the company that lost them was able to re-obtain them.

Hill County even posted on social media about the moment, complimenting:

"Lastly, we just like to add this: Holy Guacamole! That was some good police work by Deputy Hardy!"

So, to say the least, this is certainly one of the weirdest recent crimes in the state of Texas. What next, someone trying to steal Buc-ee's plushies?
