Austin’s Torchy Tacos To Close Original Brick & Mortar Location

I'm a relatively new fan of Torchy's Tacos but just like a lot of you, I've seen the light and its one of my favorite places to score tacos. The photo above was actually taken at the original Torchy's Tacos brick and mortar location located at 2809 S. First St. and the company announced some sad news today: They are closing that location down.

According to KVUE, the company announced plans to close the location down to focus on more "accessible restaurants". The company is inviting fans to celebrate with them on Tuesday, Oct. 22, which will be the last day of the location's service.

Torchy's said they are "incredibly proud of the South First restaurant and the memorable moments and major milestones it has been a part of, including a visit from former President Barack Obama during his SXSW trip in 2016." - via KVUE

I can totally understand why they are closing the location done because it has a very small parking lot and its a challenge getting in and out of there with the busy traffic on South First Street. But every time I found myself in the vicinity of downtown Austin, I would always stop into that particular location so its gonna be sad to see it go.
