Parking Getting More Expensive At Austin Bergstrom International Airport
Everybody in the state of Texas sometimes loves to travel someplace new. But when they leave the Lone Star State, they have to leave their car somewhere right? For those parking at Austin Bergstrom, they might not like to see this happening to the cost of parking.
What Is Happening To Parking Prices At Austin Bergstrom?
As revealed by KXAN, those parking at the airport recently have noticed that some parking areas have being undergoing changes. Yes, ABIA is making additions to the area, and that of course includes the growth of parking spaces. There's even a new parking area being constructed known as the "Yellow Garage."
While this growth is very exciting for city and the airport itself. But this growth means that more and more people are coming to the airport to fly out to other parts of the country. So, with parking getting more and more limited, prices are set to get higher for two specific areas near ABIA.

What Parking Areas Are Increasing In Price For ABIA?
Per KXAN, the two affected parking areas are the Blue and Red parking areas. Here's how the wallet will be affected if you park in these areas:
- Red Garage daily rate is changing from $32 to $35
- Red Garage hourly rate is changing from $5 to $7
- Blue Garage daily rate is changing from $23 to $26
As revealed by a release from the airport itself, the uptick in price is to “reflect the airport’s response to increasing passenger traffic and rising demand for on-airport parking options.”
The Economy Lot's price will not change. In addition, these changes will become permanent on May 1st, 2025. If any new information becomes available, we will have it here.
