A Minute with Some Old School Favorites!

I just got off the phone with an old school duo that has been around for more than 40 years.  Yarbrough and Peoples.  And what was so good about the interview was that it was really Yarbrough and Peoples!  I know that sounds stupid, but have you ever had the chance to see the Temptations in concerts, or the Manhattans, Dramatics, Earth Wind & Fire or any of the great acts from yesteryear?  If you have then you will find that you don't recognize any of them.  The groups were huge in the 70's or 80"s and they were young adults 20's 30's and 40's. But when you see them on stage today the members are still 26 and 35 years old. It drives me crazy when this happens at an old school concert.  The reason why is because the original members either are ill or just choose not to tour anymore.  What ends up happening is a whole group of new people end up touring under the name of a famous group or act.  However, today I got to see something beautiful... Yarbrough and Peoples.  They are a couple and are still together and they are the originals!  It was great to see. We had a great interview and I know we will all see a great show.  Thanks to all of you for helping to make this a part of our station.
