On August 3 I wrote an article about an amazing musician, who is a native of Killeen, Texas, and how the city was coming together to say the final farewells. JC Stringz was a well-known musician, whose talents were truly beyond anyone’s imagination.

For JC Stringz to be so young and able to play so many instruments truly could make your mouth drop. When I first got the news that JC Stringz have passed away, just like everyone else in Central Texas I truly took it hard, a lot of us watch this young man grow up right before our very eyes, so saying our goodbyes was definitely challenging for a lot of individuals here in Central, Texas. Even though this amazing musician is gone he will never be forgotten and we definitely have the Killeen Music Community, thanks for that. On September 2 from 6:30 to 9:30 we need all of the city to come out.

LONG LIVE THE AMAZING JC STRINGZ

There will be a live music tribute to this amazing young man. The event will take place at the Killeen Arts and Community Activity Center on 801 N. 4th Street. This event has free entry and we want to see everyone in Central Texas there! Even though this young man has gone on, he will always be a part of Central Texas, so we’re here to celebrate him the right way.

Top 20 Restaurants Central Texans Wish Would Come to Temple

A while back, I asked the good people of Temple if they could picture a good restaurant to fill the lot on North General Bruce Drive where the soon to be torn down Long John Silver's stood.

This was before it was announced that a Dutch Bros. Coffee location would open there (which was one of the places I predicted as a contender in our article).

So now Dutch Bros. is open in that spot, but the responses to my survey were interesting because they paint a picture of just how diverse Temple's population is. People recommended some familiar restaurants with locations in the surrounding area, but also a few I'd never even heard of.

Here are the top 20 results of the survey. Let's see what the good people of Temple are craving!
