A Texas-sized birthday party was held on Saturday for a 100-year-old World War II Veteran in Malakoff, Texas. The red carpet came out for C.J. 'Red' Wallace who arrived in a white stretch limo for his birthday party with family and friends.

Wallace is a regular customer at his local Whataburger and even the restaurant employees got dressed up for his birthday. Customers inside the restaurant got to know C.J. some during his birthday party. Wallace served as an Army radar tech in WW II in the Europian Theater. He has lived near Arlington, Texas most of his life and after the war, worked for General Motors for 27 years.

Wallace got 100 birthday cards for his birthday. He told folks at his birthday party that exercise and time outdoors was the secret to his long and happy life.
