Victim of Fatal Shooting at Temple’s Jackson Park Was 15

Police have released the identify of a teenager who was gunned down at Jackson Park in Temple Wednesday morning.

15-year-old Andrew Bryan was found dead at 925 North 4th Street around 9:40 AM. The suspect, a fellow juvenile, eluded capture for some time, during which police shut down 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 8th Streets and placed Jefferson Elementary and Lamar Middle School on soft lockdown while they searched the area.

KWTX reports that the suspect, who was hiding in a home on 8th Street, was taken into custody shortly after 11 AM that day and taken to Temple's juvenile processing office. Neither their identity nor their age had been released as of Thursday.

A resident who lives near Jackson Park reported having heard four shots and seeing the suspect flee the scene.
