It’s True: Two Cold Fronts Coming to Central Texas Soon
It's about time the temperatures outside started to match the calendar, and the latest forecast should make you pretty happy if you love fall as much as I do.
KWTX is predicting not just one, but TWO cold fronts headed for the Killeen and Temple area, which will be a nice change from the last few weeks.
Rain in Central Texas? It's Possible
According to KWTX Meteorologist Sean Bellafiore, the excessive heat in Central Texas is finally getting turned down, and over the next week we might even see some rain falling from the sky.
The first front comes on Wednesday, when temps will get a little warmer before starting to drop. The best chance of rain (close to 50 percent) will come Monday, when it will start to feel downright chilly. Right now, expected highs next week may be down to the 70s, with overnight lows of 40 degrees possible.
2022 Farmer's Almanac Predictions
According to the long-range forecast from the Farmer's Almanac, when winter comes to Central Texas, it will be colder than normal. The first official day of winter is December 21st, but the below normal temps will be here before then.
By the middle of November, we should start experiencing much lower temperatures, and that will continue through the months of December and January. In January, we could even see some snow in Texas.
December 2022 looks stormy and cold for most of the season over the eastern half of the United States, according to the Farmer's Almanac.
