The pandemic has forced the cancellation of events across the country, but as we start to re-open America, some of the late summer/early fall events are hoping to still take place.  That includes the State Fair of Texas.

According to CBSDFW, organizers of the State Fair of Texas are asking for people to submit their feedback on how to make this year's state fair safe. They've set up an online survey for people to offer some feedback on this year's fair. The survey should only take 5-7 minutes to complete, and the responses will remain anonymous.

If you want to participate in the survey and make your voice heart, you can find it here.

“It’s important to us to incorporate your thoughts and feelings into the important decisions ahead. Please know the health and safety of our guests, staff, and partners continue to be our top priority,” the survey reads.

After completing the survey, you can register to win a $50 Amazon gift card.

The Texas State Fair is currently scheduled from Sept. 25 through Oct. 14.

The State Fair of Texas has been a Lone Star State tradition since it was chartered back in January of 1886. The gates opened for the first time in October of that year, and in fact, there were two competing fairs that later merged into the one we still love to visit today.

Let's hope we can continue the tradition this year in a way that's fun for everyone, but still safe and conscious of the health of our fellow Texans.
