The Best Damn Thing I Ate In Central Texas: Mardi Gras Cafe In Killeen

Just like everyone else in our area, I've haven't been dealing with this cold weather too well lately but there's always one thing that will help me cheer up and WARM me up on these cold Texas days: GUMBO!

I've been getting a lot of calls and messages from folks telling me about Mardi Gras Cafe, who recently opened up in Killeen inside the Rancier Plaza. When you hear nothing but rave reviews, you gotta go check it out and I did and I enjoyed it!

I ordered a Hot Sausage Po-Boy, beignets for my wife and of course a big JUG of gumbo to take home and everything was great ESPECIALLY the gumbo which had chicken, seafood and sausage and it was fantastic and enabled me to stand outside in 15 degree weather for at least 5 minutes without a jacket and I felt NOTHING.
