CRAZYS WAYS CRIMINALS TRIED SMUGGLING DRUGS

Criminals are constantly trying to transport drugs across Texas. There have been some particularly creative smugglers. From trying to transport methamphetamines in burritos to individually cracking open peanuts and stuffing them with drugs, they are constantly coming up with insane ways to sneak drugs across the Lone Star State.

TEXAS FLIGHT ATTENDANT

This month a Dallas flight attendant pled guilty to drug trafficking after she was caught smuggling an extremely deadly drug across state lines. 

41-year-old Teresa L. White was a flight attendant from Dallas, Texas. While White was off-duty, she went into Dallas/Fort Worth International airport to board a flight to San Diego, California. 

MAKING A QUICK STOP IN CALIFORNIA

White first flew to San Diego, where she exited the airport. She returned to the airport soon after and began making her way to the boarding area, where she was scheduled to fly to Boston, Massachusetts. 

USING FLIGHT PRIVILEGES

Using her flight crew privilege's, White tried bypassing regular TSA screening by using the Known Crew Member queue. As she was waiting to bypass TSA, White was randomly selected for regular screening. 

DEADLY AMOUNT OF DRUGS

White was busted as TSA began to screen her. The San Diego TSA officers quickly discovered three pounds of fentanyl taped to her abdomen.. This comes during a very sensitive time as Fentanyl overdoses and deaths are becoming more frequent.

The 41-year-old Texas flight attendant as pled guilty to her charges and now faces spending up to 20 years in prison. DEA Special Agent in Charge Shelly Howe said, "We will continue the great work with our partners to bring traffickers to justice and keep our community safe."
