Temple police have released the identity of a 22-year-old man fatally injured in a crash on I-35 involving two motorcycles and a sedan.

Benjamin James Montrose of Killeen was killed in the collision on northbound Interstate 35 near Exit 304. Police and emergency workers responded to the scene at 9:25 PM Saturday and transported a second motorcyclist to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple with non-life-threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported.

In a media release, Temple PD spokesperson Chris Christoff reported that the department's Traffic Reconstruction Unit is still investigating the circumstances of the crash.

The driver of the sedan told KCEN-TV that motorcyclists were weaving in and out of traffic before her vehicle was struck from behind. Police reportedly confirmed that one of the bikes hit the sedan before hitting the second motorcycle.
