Temple Police Identify Missing Body

KWTX reported that a 92-year-old Temple woman by the name of Louise W Shumate's body was found while conducting a missing person investigation on Saturday.

WHAT DID TEMPLE POLICE SAY?

Police stated that the investigation was directed to a low crossing in the 3200 block of Riverside Trail. Police used a drone on April 13 and that is where Louise's vehicle was found and submerged in water down Pepper Creek with her inside unfortunately.

The Temple Police say when Louise was trying to cross over, unfortunately, the water pushed her vehicle off the road and down into the creek and was pinned between multiple trees and eventually submerged in water with herself inside. Louise's body has been recovered and Mexican has been notified.
