Temple El Chico Building Destroyed

I grew up in the food service industry. I've never seen a viable building tore down before.

My imagination can get the best of me at times. I was driving down 31st in Temple Friday and saw this happening to the old El Chico building, and I started thinking...

"Jesus! Just what the hell happened in that building that would call for full destruction? Well. Obviously it was the Norwegians. Those insane bastards must have been running a black mark Lutefisk market out the back and someone must have spilled a batt of lye on a class full of 5th graders from a local elementary school. The only thing worse than the stench of Lutefisk, is the stench of 5th graders drenched in Lutefisk. I don't care how much bleach you have, that's a smell that not coming out of the floor."

Now it's more likely that who ever bought the lot is planning on putting up something that didn't call for a big building with a nice dining area. But really, it could be the Norwegians.
