Looking through the news today and seeing lots of places shutting down due to COVID-19. With the closures also comes the lay-offs which will certainly hurt a lot of families. As of yesterday, 70,000 new unemployment cases had been filed. But all is not doom and gloom as both Target and HEB have announced $2 per-hour pay raises for it's employees.

Target is also offering paid leave for older employees. These pay raises go into effect immediately and are good for both part-time and full-time employees. For Target employees the raises are good through May 2, for HEB employees, raises are good through April 12.
