Civilian and military Firefighters have been busy since July 17th fighting wildfires on ranges inside Fort Hood. They are now nearing the end of their hard work according to post officials.

Yesterday afternoon in Copperas Cove, smoke was seen all over the city and in some areas ash was falling to the ground which caused some alarm among residents. We now know the cause.

Temperatures are on the rise in Texas, and that means dangerous wildfires are about to become a near daily occurrence here.
