Joni Sledge, founding member of 'Sister Sledge' was found dead in her Arizona home on Friday.
The four sisters formed the group in 1971 in Philadelphia.

Disco icon and musician Nile Rodgers was the recipient of the prestigious BMI Icon Award at the 2015 BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Awards in Los Angeles on Saturday (Aug. 29). Producer DJ Mustard and R&B piano John Legend was also honored at the event.

Nile Rodgers is known as one of the greatest producers of all time and one of the architects of the "Disco" sound. While its been awhile since his band CHIC dominated the charts, he's never stopped working, producing some of the biggest hits in pop music for the last 30 years.
