4th of July

Last year, the pandemic put a damper on everyone's plans, but local celebrations are back and the City of Temple is ready to put on a show.

Do the right thing this weekend so you don't get hit with a fine or worse, hurt someone.

In an announcement made Friday, the Belton Chamber of Commerce said the traditional parade will be virtual, but other July 4 celebrations will continue.

Belton's week long fourth of July celebration will go on as planned starting June 27.

The suspect reportedly told police he's responsible for firing at a family's car, igniting their fireworks and causing a father and two toddlers' severe burns.

One man's Independence Day celebration was cut short, when he may have possibly drowned on Thursday night in Waco at the BSR Cable Park.
