September 10 Through 19 are Palindrome Dates

I love a good palindrome, and starting Tuesday I'll have ten straight days of them!

What's a palindrome? Well, it's a sentence or sequence that's written the same backward as it is forward. Check out my second-favorite Weird Al song for some classic examples.

("May a moody baby doom a yam" may be one of the all-time greatest song lyrics.)

Since we Americans love starting our written, digital dates with the month rather than the day, this is what we'll be writing on our reports and receipts:

• 9/10/19
• 9/11/19
• 9/12/19
• 9/13/19
• 9/14/19
• 9/15/19
• 9/16/19
• 9/17/19
• 9/18/19
• 9/19/19

Couple all this with the fact that we'll have a full moon on Friday the 13th and we're either in for some really good luck or some really bad luck. Heck, maybe it's a clash of both that will just neutralize itself and we'll have so-so luck.

Of course, our friends in Europe and people doing military paperwork won't get to join in the fun, which is a shame because Americans have been writing the date day-first since the Declaration of Independence was drafted. Every date written before that was a mistake.
