Salt-N-Pepa are already hip-hop legends but now, Cheryl "Salt" James and Sandra "Pepa" Denton" are coming to the TV screen.

According to a report from TMZ, the ladies will play Sugar N Spice during a skit for Taraji P. Henson's Christmas TV special, Taraji's White Hot Holidays. The rappers will be joining the Empire star, who plays Mrs. Claus and Method Man, who plays the tooth fairy. The cast will also include Fergie, the Ying Yang Twins, Ciara and Faith Evens.

The group reportedly took the job, which taped last weekend, as a way to sharpen their acting skills because "they plan to do a lot more of it." To that point, the hip-hop legends will also be guest starring on the next season of Empire.

As for Taraji, this marks the third year the Emmy-nominated, Oscar-winning actress will host her Christmas special on Fox. In years past, Pharrell Williams, Missy Elliott, Alicia Keys, Darryl McDaniels of Run-DMC, Snoop Dogg and TLC have been featured on the variety-style special.

Taraji's White Hot Holidays airs Thursday, Dec. 14 at 9 p.m. EST.
