Prince’s Old ‘Secluded’ Estate Is for Sale for $12.4 Million

The sprawling two-acre estate in Toronto where Prince lived for five years has been re-listed, with an asking price of $16.88 million Canadian ($12.42 million in U.S. dollars)

According to the Toronto Sun, the house has returned to the market, having first been put up for sale in 2016, when the price was C$12.7 million ($9.34 million U.S.). It's been as high as C$17.8 million ($13.1 million U.S.), but since April 2018, it has hovered around C$16.9 million, with occasional minor adjustments, and the previous re-listing last November also set the price at C$16.88 million.

Barry Cohen Homes calls it an "iconic residence situated on the most spectacular secluded lush two-plus acres." They note that the gated 14,280-square-foot house contains six bedrooms and 10 bathrooms and is a "sensational sprawling bungalow with a dramatic flow and a majestic ambiance for entertaining on a global level."

The listing goes on to spotlight the "chef-inspired kitchen," seven-piece master suite, home theater, spa, exercise and billiards rooms, "sprawling garden oasis," tennis court, heated marble floors in several rooms, a wine cellar, built-in Bang & Olufsen speaker system, a pool featuring a cabana outfitted with a kitchen and a ballroom that is accessible from the foyer. While Prince's name is not mentioned, the listing does say that it had been previously owned by an "acclaimed international music celebrity." Between that nugget of information and the purple carpeting in the basement, it made news that the property in Toronto's exclusive Bridle Path neighborhood was Prince's home from 2001-06, when he was married to Manuela Testolini.
