Payless plans to open 300 to 400 retail stores across the United States over the next few years.

Our partners at News 10 report that the first new store will debut in November in Miami. That’s where the company’s new headquarters are.  After that, another 30 to 45 stores will open up early next year in Texas and other border states.

The company filed bankruptcy protection for the second time last year, and shut down all its stores across the country.

According to the company's website, it's going to stick to its theme of helping customers save money.

Shoes go for as little as $10 a pair at the discount retail chain.

With the effects of the coronavirus on the economy, the company says it knows how important it is for people to save money right now.

This is some good news in world where we seem to here nothing but negative stuff happening.  This will bring back a lot of jobs that so many lost because of the coronavirus shutdown.
