Northbound Lanes of I-35 to Close North of Temple Overnight Wednesday

If you're headed north on I-35 between Wednesday night and Thursday morning, expect things to be slower than usual.

Northbound lanes will close starting at Exit 305 (Berger Road) just north of Temple at 11 PM. They're scheduled to reopen at 6 AM Thursday.

"We’ll be pouring the new concrete bridge deck, and traffic will be detoured to the access road," TxDOT Spokesman Jodi Wheatley wrote in a media release. "We don’t expect a lot of traffic stackup at that time of night, but we wanted to be sure you were aware of our plans, in case you want to adjust yours in traveling through the area tonight. Please drive carefully through the work zone!"

I-35 north of Temple is already a stressful drive, so if you're headed that way tonight, take it slow and give yourself and the person in front of you plenty of room. Be safe out there, folks!
