Recently, it seems like businesses around the world have noticed that the growth of Central Texas could be beneficial to them. Most recently, a distillery in Waco was just purchased by London company, which you can read about here. But what about companies that bring business into the state?
Recently, a company that many wouldn't expect to join Central Texas has announced a new plant in Killeen.
Dongjin Semichem, The New Business In Town
It may be hard to believe, but a South Korean Business is set to build a brand new plant in the area. According to the Killeen Daily Herald, the plant will be located in the Killeen Business Park. Dongjin Semichen plans to take up 31 acres for the new plant.
The South Korean Company produces, according to the CEO of the Killeen Economic Development Corporation Scott Connell, chemicals for the semiconductor industry. The plant also promises to create 17 new full-time jobs for Killeen. But the thought of a new plant coming to Central Texas may have some individuals understandably worried.
Concerns About A New Plant In The Area
To quell Central Texas residents potential fears about the plant, the city did their research beforehand. The Killeen Daily Herald also reports that an outside individual was hired to examine everything Dongjin Semichen does during their process. The report revealed that everything met the standards the city hoped.

Top 20 Restaurants Central Texans Wish Would Come to Temple
A while back, I asked the good people of Temple
if they could picture a good restaurant to fill the lot on North General Bruce Drive where the soon to be torn down Long John Silver's stood.
This was before it was announced that a Dutch Bros. Coffee location would open there (which was one of the places I predicted as a contender in our article).
So now Dutch Bros. is open in that spot, but the responses to my survey were interesting because they paint a picture of just how diverse Temple's population is. People recommended some familiar restaurants with locations in the surrounding area, but also a few I'd never even heard of.
Here are the top 20 results of the survey. Let's see what the good people of Temple are craving!
