Although Nas and Kelis reached a joint custody agreement over their nine-year-old son Knight last March, it looks as if another custody battle is on the horizon.

TMZ reports that Kelis wants to become a Colombian farmer and is bringing her son with her to Colombia. But Nas is not having it.

According to documents revealed by the outlet on Thursday (Jan. 24), the Queensbridge rap legend is upset over several different child custody issues, including Kelis’ plans to travel to Cartagena, Colombia. The issue is that the "Milkshake" artist took Knight to Colombia last month when the rapper was supposed to have him on New Year’s Eve. Kelis was already in Colombia with their son. They didn’t return to the U.S. until Jan. 14.

Nas also says that Kelis has already withdrawn Knight from his private school in Los Angeles and is planning to keep him in Colombia with her new husband who has a farm there. Kelis is currently homeschooling Knight in Colombia.

Nas says that Kelis is violating their custody agreement with her sudden move to Colombia and added that she has been uncooperative when it comes to co-parenting their son.

Nas is asking a judge to find Kelis in contempt of her custody agreement and, ultimately, stop her from taking their son to Colombia.

This isn't the first time Nas has filed documents against Kelis for violation of their custody agreement.

In April 2018, the veteran rapper filed legal papers demanding a judge to penalize Kelis after he says the singer refused to let him take their son during Passover, which started on March 30. Nas also wanted Kelis to pay his attorney fees every time she violates their custody agreement.

Attorneys for both Nas and Kelis had no comment on the matter.
