25th Annual Essence Festival Concert Lineup Announced

The 25th annual Essence Festival lineup has been announced and some of R&B and hip hop's biggest names will be throwing down in New Orleans on 4th of July weekend!

Missy Elliott and Mary J. Blige are the headliners for this year's festival happening July 4th through July 7th. Also, H.E.R., Nas, RBRM (Ronnie, Bobby, Ricky & Mike), Teddy Riley, Timbaland, Pharrell and a host of other big stars are set to take the main stage during the festival.

Hosted by comedian, talk show host and actress Loni Love over the fourth of July weekend in New Orleans, this year’s three-night concert series will feature a global celebration of Black music with performances from over 80 of the biggest names across multiple genres. - Essence Magazine

Other stars slated to perform include Ginuwine, Musiq Soulchild, Ledisi, 702, and Queen Naija and there will be a special tribute to Frankie Beverly for his lifetime contributions to music.
