A 16-year-old girl from Texas who'd been missing in Colorado for almost two weeks has been found.

Our partners at News 10 report that Emma Stokes, a native of Sherman, Texas, and a girl with whom she fled a mental health facility back on July 7 were found near an apartment complex in Wheat Ridge, Colorado Wednesday afternoon. Both girls were taken into custody by the Park County Sheriff's Department.

KMGH-TV identified Emma's companion as 16-year-old Anna Parkman. Both ran away from a mental health treatment home on the night of Sunday, July 7, crawling through a window and taking no belongings with them.

It was that last bit that had the girls' parents worried, as they didn't have phones or any other communication devices on them when they ran away from the Institute for Attachment and Child Development in Littleton. They triggered an alarm when they left, which alerted the sheriff's department.

Emma's family asked for privacy as they reunite with the girl and didn't not provide details about her health or why she would have run away from the treatment center.
