Killeen's Best Food Trucks Unite to Honor Active Duty and Veterans

Thousands of people came out to enjoy free food, gift baskets, and a great time filled with appreciation for those who serve. Craig Carlson, founder of The Carlson Law Firm, explained that giving back comes naturally to him—especially as the owner of a veteran-owned business. Speaking from experience, he shared how deeply he understands the importance of honoring our military and continuing that tradition of gratitude.

When I asked Craig Carlson why events like this are so important, he stated:

“Thousands of people came out here today just to show love—and at the same time, we’re doing what we love for the Fort Hood and surrounding areas. They deserve something special, and we wanted to give them something special.”

Carlson added that what excites him most is seeing how many people return each year—so many, in fact, that he’s starting to recognize familiar faces.
