Mary J. Blige Documentary Coming Soon To Amazon
One thing we love about Mary J. Blige is she's always used her music as an open book to share what's been going on in her life. With the 25th anniversary of one of her greatest albums "My Life" coming soon, the singer and actress will be sharing more of her life story in a new documentary.
According to Pitchfork, Amazon Studios announced that a documentary about Blige is in production with her and Sean "Diddy" Combs set to executive produce the currently untitled project.
The film follows Blige as she is set to perform her sophomore album My Life for the first time ever on a 25th anniversary tour. According to a press release, it “provides a personal and never before seen look into the emotional journey of Mary J. Blige’s past struggles with poverty, abuse, addiction and heartbreak.” - via Pitchfork
This should be a very interesting look at the life of one R&B's greatest singers but Blige is just getting started on what looks to be a very busy 2020.
Her new box set HERstory Vol. 1 which collects some of her biggest ’90s hits, and rare remixes drops on December 6 and she's been cast in the movie "Respect", the Aretha Franklin biopic with Jennifer Hudson and Forest Whitaker.
We'll keep you posted on when Mary's doc drops.
