After two years as President and CEO of the Belton Are Chamber of Commerce, Mark Arrazola announced Thursday that he is leaving the organization.

Arrazola sent the following letter to colleagues and the media:

Since 2006, I have had the joy and pleasure of serving the members of the Belton Area Chamber of Commerce. I have met so many amazing people and worked side by side with forerunners and trailblazers. It has been a great honor and privilege to have the opportunity to serve you and our community.

Over the years we have provided tools to help businesses grow and flourish and we made a name for our Community amongst our friends at Fort Hood and in the Army as we worked hard to better connect our soldiers and their families to people and services in our town and area. Words do no justice to the pride we have felt in putting on one of the best 4th of July Celebrations in America.

It has been the greatest privilege to have the opportunity to serve you as President/CEO of this amazing organization. The Chamber has a bright future ahead of it and that makes it all the harder to write this letter. It is with much prayer and consideration that I am announcing my resignation from the Belton Area Chamber of Commerce. It has been an amazing journey the past almost 12 years, but I must be obedient to the direction of the Lord…He’s never let me down.

I truly appreciate each of you and will cherish the memories I have serving you. Thank you for supporting our Chamber and thank you to everyone who has poured into my life since I stepped into the professional world. You are an amazing group of people who are making a great impact in our area!

Godspeed,
Mark Arrazola

Arrazola was name Interim President in January of 2016 following the departure of Stephanie O'Banion. He was named President and CEO of the Chamber in August of 2015.
