Man Hit by Pickup Truck in Temple Monday Evening

The Temple Police Department is investigating a vehicle versus pedestrian accident that occurred Monday evening.

Officers were dispatched to the 900 block of South 1st Street around 6:31 PM  where they found that a man had been struck by a vehicle.

Police were advised that the man was crossing the road when he was hit by a Mazda pick-up.

The man was transported to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple with life-threatening injuries.

The Temple Police Department's Traffic Reconstruction Unit is investigating the collision. Police have not commented on the condition of the person driving the truck or if any charges are pending.
