Load Up on Candy at the Vintage Church Trunk-or-Treat in Harker Heights, Texas
With Halloween coming up this weekend, we've all been on the lookout for ways to get our hands on some candy in Central Texas. Fortunately, there are plenty of trunk-or-treat events going on, including one hosted by Vintage Church in Harker Heights, Texas.
Thanks to the ongoing pandemic, the holidays have felt a little off if I do say so myself. We've all tried to find ways to maneuver certain situations so that our children can still enjoy themselves, but we parents can help ensure they're safe.
Central Texans are resourceful, so there's been no shortage of safe events that are still fun. That's the idea behind trunk-or-treat events - that and maximizing the amount of sugar our kids can stuff their bags and buckets with, right?
One such event you should add to your Halloween trick-or-treat checklist is the Trunk-or-Treat event hosted by Vintage Church at Harker Heights Community Park,
1605 Knight's Way, on Sunday, October 31 from 3PM to 6PM. It's a family-friendly trick-or-treat and fall carnival event, and of course the kiddos are welcome to show up dressed in their spookiest costume.
People are understandably more careful these days about going to other people's houses for trick-or-treating. There's the risk of contracting or spreading COVID-19, and of course the fact that you may be going to houses at which you don't know the person inside, so there's no telling what they're actually putting in your child's bucket or bag.
(Regardless of where the candy comes from, you should always check your kid's Halloween haul before letting them dig in.)
Trunk-or-treat events like the one being hosted by Vintage Church let you have all the Halloween fun in a safe, family-friendly environment outdoors in the fresh air.
Don't be shy about taking the babies out there, because they'll have plenty of candy for everyone!
