The foody festivities coincide with the City of Copperas Cove’s 143rd birthday, so let's make it a great party!

Copperas Cove Food Truck Park

Lynette Sowell of the Coppers Cove Leader Press reports that work on the park began last November when Taste of Cove owner Tasha Roberts and the crew broke ground on their site at 105 West Ave E in Copperas Cove. Roberts owns the Sporty Dogg food truck which, of course, offers hot dogs with all the fixings. The park has a pavilion, picnic tables, and a green space to spread out on.

The new food truck park will is currently home to six mobile eateries including Sporty Dogg, plus a variety of other cuisines including Hits the Spot, Little Baghdad, Blessed Hands, and Wagon Wheel Café. Roberts is hoping to add more.

City of Copperas Cove’s 143rd Birthday

The City of Copperas Cove will also be celebrating their 143 birthday with the reading of the city's proclamation at 1pm. There'll be birthday cake along with a bounce house for the kids and  appearances by Mickey and Minnie Mouse and Fester, the Copperas Cove Rabbit Fest mascot, plus lots of games and music from DJ Five. Festivities start at 12pm.

Taste of Cove Food Truck Park hopes to add to the downtown experience and bring people back into Downtown Copperas Cove. An upcoming Farmers Market is slated to start in May.

Taste of Cove Food Truck Park's website is still under construction, but does list that the park pavilion is available for rent at just $100 for five hours, making the location perfect for parties or corporate events. Roberts is also looking to add more food trucks. If you're interested call 254-542-3521 or 254-258-1259, or email tasteofcove@yahoo.com.
