The city of Killeen is celebrating veterans the right way with the annual Central Texas Veterans Day Parade on Tuesday, November 11, at 11 a.m. in the historic downtown area of Killeen.

Are You Ready? Killeen's Massive Veterans Day Parade is Just Around the Corner
Before the parade even begins, the Department of Veterans Affairs will recognize Killeen as a regional site for Veterans Day celebrations. Mayor Debbie Nash-King will present a certificate acknowledging this recognition.
Get Your Spot: Everything You Need for Killeen's Annual Veterans' Day Parade
The Central Texas Area Veterans Advisory Committee (AVAC), which includes representatives from various veterans organizations in Harker Heights, Nolanville, and Killeen, is sponsoring the event. Community members who would like to participate in the parade can submit entries until Monday, November 10. There is no registration fee, and you can apply [here].
The parade will begin on West Avenue D, continue from North College Street along Avenue D to Eighth Street, then proceed down Sprott Street and Gray Street. It will conclude by returning via Gray Street to Avenue C and finish at North College Street. The community is encouraged to arrive early for the best parade viewing experience.
