THANK GOD CENTRAL TEXAS IS WARMING BACK UP SATURDAY

Saturday will get off to a chilly start, but we'll be back into the 60s by Sunday.

That's according to Sean Bellafiore with our news and weather partners at KWTX News 10. He predicts Saturday morning could see some freezing fog with lows in the mid-to-upper 20s that will warm into the 50s through the day. There could be some wind gusts, but they'll be from the south so we won't be dealing with more deep freezes.

WHAT ABOUT SUNDAY?

Temperatures will be in the 30s when you're getting ready for church or a relaxing day off, but Sean is predicting temperatures in the mid-60s by Sunday afternoon.

STORMS POSSIBLE NEXT WEEK

Sean says there's some uncertainty involved here, but there's a chance we could see a storm system move into Central Texas Tuesday afternoon, bringing rain with it. That should move out by Wednesday. Temperatures are expected to be in the 60s and even 70s, so we shouldn't see any ice, thank goodness.

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND IN CENTRAL TEXAS AND ENJOY THE WARM WEATHER!

I don’t know about you, but I love the wintertime. The ice an be a pain, but when it's as cold as it's been lately, we get to wear our favorite weather apparel while we sip hot cocoa and apple cider.

I love a good snow day, but I definitely don't like seeing Texans stranded in place with no power and our rods looking like a post-apocalyptic movie scene. I am definitely not here for a repeat of 2021. Let's hope that doesn't happen.

There are still some places in Texas that have some ice here and there, but what’s important is you should be able to get out there and drive again in our area this weekend.

My advice: take full advantage of the weekend. Go to the movies, head out to eat, or do like me and just head to your favorite nail shop for a nice little manicure and pedicure, or a relaxing spa day.

Whatever you do, stay safe and enjoy yourself!
