Killeen Man Accused Of Sexually Assaulting A Child Is Arrested In Nevada

According to KWTX, after being charged with sexual assault of a child by the Bell County District Attorney's Office, Jacob Murphy, a Killeen man was arrested in Nevada on August 22. The Killeen Police Department says an investigation had taken place with Jacob Murphy, and came to the realization that he had sent inappropriate messages to the victim. The victim's family made the report on June 20, 2022.

WHERE WAS JACOB MURPHY?

Jacob Murphy received an interview with a Killeen Police Department conducted an investigation and denied any allegations says the Killeen Police Department. Once the victim's family hear about the allegations, the family confronted Jake, which led him to leave the area, but on August 15, 2023, the Bell County District Attorney’s Office charged Jacob with sexual assault of a child and the justice of peace Gregory Johnson decided to issue a warrant for Jacob’s arrest.

WHAT IS NEXT FOR JACOB MURPHY?

Jacob was no longer in the state of Texas, and the regional sex offender unit detectives and the US Marshals Service task force members found Murphy in Sparks Nevada yesterday August 22, 2023, where he was arrested. Jacob is now waiting to be transported to the Bell County Jail. There is no more information about this case as of right now, we will keep Central Texas updated.
