Killeen ISD Staff Members Will Receive A Salary Increase
As the Killeen, Independent School District gets prepared for the students to go back to school according to KCENT this year educators may look forward to the school year more than the students. Now, of course, our children are probably dreading going back, but it was just released that the Killeen Independent School District employees will be receiving a pay increase for the upcoming year.
SHOW ME THE MONEY KISD
On July 30 the board of trustees approved a composition for the educators. Superintendent of Schools, Jo Ann Fay says "We appreciate the board of trustees for their thoughtful discussion and approval of this composition package, our budget was tight this year, but our trustees found a way to reinforce the value of hard-working, dedicated, and talented staff." $58,000 will be the new starting salary for teachers and non-exempt staff such as paraprofessionals, custodians, bus, drivers, and school nutritional staff will receive a 4% increase and all other staff will receive a 3% increase.
WELCOME BACK KISD
The reality is educators are responsible for molding our children into individuals they’re going to be one day. Our educators spend more time with our children than we do during the work week. I have a huge respect for educators and I’m excited for them to be receiving the raise. Congratulations KISD we see you on the first day of school.
