Time to Shine! Submit Your Float Now for the 62nd Killeen Christmas Parade
I know we’ve got to get through fall before we make it to Christmas, but the City of Killeen has announced that the Parks and Recreation Department is now accepting applications for floats in the 62nd Annual Christmas Parade!

The Most Wonderful Time: Submit Your Float and Join the Killeen Celebration
I’ve had the pleasure of participating in the parade for the past four years, and to be honest with you, it’s absolutely amazing to be part of something so festive and fun.
This year’s theme is “A Cinematic Christmas”, and participants are invited to create floats inspired by beloved holiday movies and memorable films.
Unleash Your Creativity: Float Submissions are Open for the Killeen Holiday Tradition
Antonio Murphy, Executive Director of Parks and Recreation, stated, “We invite all community groups, schools, businesses, and families to help us create a memorable parade that embodies the spirit of the season through film.” He went on to say that it’s a fantastic opportunity for the community to come together, enjoy the festivities, and showcase local talent.
Interested residents should know that float applications are being accepted in various categories, including:
Walking or marching groups
Performing groups
Decorative trucks or cars
Vehicle groups
Applications will be accepted through November 7. To secure a spot in the parade, registration and float submission are required.
The City of Killeen also noted that the entry fee will increase from $25 to $50 starting October 1, so early registration is encouraged.
