According to a press release from the City of Killeen, community members are invited to apply for several vacant positions on various committees, commissions, and boards. Here are the current openings:
Animal Advisory Committee: Three vacancies. This committee meets quarterly on the second Thursday at noon. It consists of eight members, each serving a two-year term.
Board of Adjustment – Fire Prevention Code: Four vacancies. This board meets as needed and includes six members, each serving a two-year term.
Sister City Program: One vacancy. This group includes nine members, each serving a one-year term.
Civic Duty: Killeen Seeks Dedicated Board & Commission Applicants
Parks and Recreation Advisory Board: One vacancy. This board meets at least four times per year. It consists of seven members, each serving a two-year term.
Capital Improvement Advisory Committee: One vacancy. This committee meets biannually and has nine members, each serving a two-year term.
