A boil water order that was issued on Monday, October 1 for properties along Avenue C in Killeen has been lifted.

City of Killeen Communications Director Keela Vaughn sent a notice Thursday afternoon announcing that crews have fixed a water line issue that was affecting customers between Gilmer Street and Root Avenue.

Vaughn wrote that the City has received water sample test results from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality indicating that tap water in the area is once again safe for human consumption without boiling.

Anyone with questions concerning the water line issue, the boil notice, or Killeen water quality should contact the City's Water and Sewer Services Office at 254-501-6319.
