The City of Killeen has issued a boil water notice for specific areas due to upcoming water and sewer service interruptions. Affected locations include Lewis Street and the following addresses: 2705, 2706–2710, 2711, 2715, 2716, 2721, 2722, 2726, 2729, 2800, 2801, and 815 Highland Avenue.

The City stated that private contractors will be working in these areas to install a new waterline as part of the Waterline Rehabilitation Program. As a result, water services will be temporarily interrupted starting at 7:30 AM on August 12, with service expected to be restored by 5:00 PM the same day.
