A tragic situation occurred at one of the well-known barbecue restaurants here in Killeen, Texas, according to KWTX. The Band of Brothers joint, located at 13178 South Hood St., found itself in quite a pickle just before it was set to serve Thanksgiving dinner to thousands of people in need.

What Did The People See At Band Of Brothers?

James Crawford, one of the owners of the establishment, stated that he looked up and suddenly saw someone take off running for their life. “We were like, what?” he said. Moments later, a car ended up on their front porch. That’s right — a terrible crash took place at the restaurant, leaving everyone in shock. Crawford went on to say, “We had just gotten through a big rush, so thankfully the porch was cleared out.”

How Did This Happen?

According to the story, the driver had been cut off and swerved to avoid a car crossing Highway 95. In the process, the vehicle hit a stop sign and took down one of the electrical wires in the area. Between hitting the building or a nearby tree, the driver ended up crashing into the half-wall on the porch instead.

Keep in mind that the Band of Brothers joint had been preparing to cook for hundreds of people for Thanksgiving dinner. Crawford stated, “We are hosting it, and we’ll still be ready to cook for 2,000 families.” That’s the type of dedication that really keeps the city going.The Band of Brothers will remain open during their regular business hours, though part of the porch will be out of commission for a while.
