Jordin Sparks Returns with Breezy Love Ballad ‘Skipping a Beat’

Jordin Sparks is back and she's in love. Do you want proof? Then listen to her new single, 'Skipping a Beat.' It's a sunshine-y love ballad from her upcoming album, currently untitled.

The 23-year-old songbird, who's dating pop crooner Jason Derulo, sings about her undying devotion to her boyfriend.

Over a bouncy piano-driven beat, electro-pop snares and keyboard melodies, Ms. Sparks credits her boo for resuscitating her heart and making it skip to the beat with his love.

"You make my heart skip like we're playing hop-scotch / Hope I'm the one that you want to put the rock on," she coos, adding "You make it suttah / I think I love ya."

Later, the 'American Idol' 6 alumna describes her man, Derulo, as “You’re my lover, you’re my friend, you’re my gangsta."
